Type overview
Reifenhäuser thermoforming sheet lines are designed on the modular principle.
Three design series based on the different polishing stack types are available for a number of applications:
- MIREX-S
MIREX-S
Standard line for PP, GPPS/HIPS and PET
Working width: 900 - 1600 mm
Thickness range: 0.2 - 2.0 mm (depending on product)
- suitable for sheets with high and low melt stability
- controlled melt flow into the polishing nip
- no longitudinal streaks on the sheet surface caused by lip edges
- bead optionally on the sheet upper or lower side
- simple and efficient chill roll operation
MIREX-W
Standard line for PP, PGGS/HIPS and ABS/PMMA
Working width: 900 - 2200 mm
Thickness range: 0.2 - 2.0 mm or 2.0 - 10.0 mm (depending on product)
- mainly used for production of sheets with high melt stability
- simple line assembly
- space-saving arrangement for inline machines
- easy access
- melt inlet between lower and center roll or upper and center roll
MIREX-TS
Special line for production of highly transparent, polished thin and thick PP and GPPS/HIPS sheets
Working width: 900 - 2200 mm
Thickness range: 0.2 - 2.0 mm (depending on product)
Thanks to the modular line concept, Reifenhäuser can offer a suitable line for any specific requirement. An example for this is a line for processing of PET film and bottle flakes.
- MIREX 3-1400
3-layer PET thermoforming sheet line, MIREX 3-1400
On this line, the Reitruder (twin-screw extruder) processes the PET material without pre-drying. This means considerable energy is conserved by reducing the intermediate steps during material preparation. From this material, highly transparent 3-layer films are produced, such as blister packaging for foodstuffs packaging and technical applications.
